Chat
Java software is required to access the Chat service. This can be downloaded and installed at www.java.com if required.
Important Information
- Ensure you do not use your real name as your chat name
- Using the 'chat line' does not leave any trace on your computer.
- You do not have to register
- Your "Chat Name" will disappear when your sessions ends.
- Our online Chat service exists to give you private and anonymous access to our counsellors.
You can have a 1 on 1 private chat with a counsellor at the following selected times:
Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday Evening
8-30 p.m. -10-30 p.m. (EST)
HOW TO LOG ON
Ensure you use a made-up name which cannot be recognised by other users. Do not use your real name or your known nickname. When the PARACHAT applet loads in the space below simply type your made-up name in the top box called "User Name" and press the button below called "Connect". If you connect during the above hours a Counsellor will respond. No other information is necessary to connect to the chat room.
