"Growing Kids God's Way Parenting Courses - 2008" The Care Group will again be running the Growing Kids God's Way parenting courses in 2008. In the first term we will be facilitating the Preparation for Parenting series which is a 6 week video based programme for expectant parents and new parents. The course covers issues such as establishing a Biblical mindset for parenting, Understanding your baby's biological clock, The when, how and why of breast feeding, The importance of dad in infant parenting, Why babies can sleep through the night in eight weeks and much more.
In second term we will
present The Toddler Years, a 6 week programme for parenting
children form birth to eight months. The course covers the
Importance of a strong couple relationship, Feeding philosophies, Facts on
feeding, Establishing your baby's routine, Wake time activities and
sleeping and a section on Multiple and premature infants.
These will be followed in 3rd
and 4th terms by the 18 week series for children from eight months to pre
teens. This course covers a wide range of topics including How
to raise a moral child, Touch-points of love, The Father's mandate, Your
child's conscience, Respect for authority and parents, Principles of
obedience, Consequences and punishment, Discipline issues and Building a
healthy family.
This Parenting series has been
successfully run by the Care Group over the past 4 years. For more
